She was predeceased by: her parents, Uwe Helmut Schaefer and Christel Erna Kranich Schaefer; her former husband Gehart Schmidt; and her husband Danny Ray Griffin. She is survived by: her children, Petra Lee (Terry), Ralf Schmidt, Mark Griffin (Carman) and John Griffin (Donna); her grandchildren, Christel Payne (Chriss), DJ Griffin (Lori), Christian L. Griffin, Honey Shianne Franklin (Brandon), Autumn Ray (Dallas) and Jessica Lee (Will); her great grandchildren, Carter Yow, Carissa Coffman, Carson Yow, Hunter Griffin, Hayden Griffin, Mason Ray, Waylon Ray and Addilyn Lee; and her sister Heidi Schaefer.
