She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertie Matthews Martin and Lee O'Neal Martin; her husband Rev. Carl Edward Miles; her sons, James Miles and Steve Miles; her grandson Lee Miles; and her siblings, Thelma Weaver, Alberta Wilkes, Bonnie Ruth Shady, Dorothy Yarborough, John William Martin, Leon Martin, Dallas Martin and Mitchell Martin.

She is survived by: her children, Bertie Mae Carraway of Coward, Gary Miles of Coward, Marie Kissiah (Al) of Anderson, Billy Joe Miles (Gail) of Coward and Robert Miles (Rhonda) of Lake City; her daughter-in-law Cynthia Miles of Hannah; her sisters, Shirley Martin and Carolyn Boone; her sister-in-law Beulah Mae Matthews; and her niece Marjorie Kirby (Donna Lawhon). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
