He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lonnie Wise and Pearlie Mae Yarborough Wise; his former wife Earline Elizabeth "Dolly" Wells Wise; his wife Shirley Ann Benton Wise; and his brothers, Ervin Wise, Alex Wise and Oral Wise.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Gause (John) of Florence and Linda Doughty (David) of Coward; his grandchildren, John Maxie Gause (Anna) of Seneca, Katherine Elizabeth Gause of Chicago, IL, Anna Gause of New York, NY, Laura Ann Doughty of Coward and David Michael Doughty (Hannah) of Jacksonville, NC; his siblings, Allen Wise of Florence, Willie Wise (Landa) of Pamplico, Blondell Turner of Lexington, NC, Mary Poston (Edd) of Pamplico, Wilma Caraway of Coward and Nellie Gaskins of Lake City; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Benton (Betty) of Conway and Joyce Lamb (Raymond) of Lake City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
