He is survived by: his wife Doris Matthews; his daughter Linda Pate (James); his grandsons, Scotty Dangerfield (Mary Alice) and John Lurie Pate (Emily); his great grandchildren, Ashley Hilbourn and Noah Dangerfield; his great great grandchildren, Keely McClam, Talyn McClam, Mary Savage Hilbourn, Kaiden Hilbourn and Kaylynn Hilbourn; and his siblings, Larry Matthews (Wilma) and Janice Hopkins.
