We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2024, at the age of 85, Alan Richard Fortner of Cottageville, South Carolina, born in Berwyn, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Fortner and Emily Anne Dvorak Fortner; and his brother Ronald Fortner. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl McNeill Fortner of Cottageville; his children, Alan Fortner, Jr. (Lynn) of Mount Pleasant, Scott Fortner (Celeste) of Ladson and Cheryl Ann Fortner of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Kris (Sheri), Emily (Jonathan), Bobby (Ashley), Samuel, Olivia, Coby and Pierce; his great grandchildren, Audrey Mae, Jethro, Dorothy, Aliza, Jonah and Nolan Alan; and his brother-in-law Bob Bassett.
