He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar Kittrell and Bertha Elizabeth Austin Kittrell; his former wife Caroline Whetstone Kittrell; his son Jerry Vance Kittrell; his siblings, Garnette (Lucille Bozard), Florine Culler (Luther), Louise Spears (Carl), Mollie Fogle (Leon Brice) and Lenior Ficaro (Sammie); his wife Iris Simpson Arant Kittrell; his stepchildren, Cindy Wilson (Powell) of Fairfax, VA, Steve Arant and Mary Beth Myers (Frank); his stepgrandchildren, Sterling Wilson (Catie) of Annandale, VA, Meredith Wilson of Arlington, VA, Grace Myers of Orangeburg and David Myers of Orangeburg; and his niece Shirley Ingram (Jack) of Little Mountain, SC. He was also cherished by other nieces and nephews.
