She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Aubery Smith; her parents, Robert C. Long, Sr. and Lillian Antley Long; and her brothers, Frank Long, Edward Long, Robert Long, Jr. and John Long.
She is survived by: her children, David Thompson (Vikki) of Denmark, SC, Andy Thompson (Martha) of Barnwell, SC and Hope T. McMillian (Steven) of Bamberg, SC; her stepson David Smith (Kaye) of Swansea, SC; her brother Julian Long (Betty) of Florence, SC; and her children, P. O. Box and Duncan. She is also survived by four granddaughters; two grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bamberg Church of Christ (298 Mc Gee St, Bamberg, SC 29003).
