She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius S. Gray and Brondell Felder Gray; her husband David Byrd; her brother Julius "Bubba" Gray; and her nephew Charles Hoffman.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Sutcliffe of Orangeburg, Shay Byrd (Heather) of Branchville and Crystal McAlhany (Chris) of Cordova; her grandchildren, Rachel Garrick, Daniel McAlhany, Kirkland McAlhany, Brody Byrd and Jacob Wade; her sister Marie Hoffman (Jitter); her nephew Robert Hoffman; and her niece Bonnie Benton.
