He was predeceased by: his parents, Thyas McDaniel, Sr. and Victoria Savage McDaniel; his wife Melba J. Williamson McDaniel; his daughter Phyllis; and his brother Thyas, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Vincent McDaniel (Linda) and Cindy M. McDaniel; his grandchildren, Bobby Amaker (Edwina), Gerald Amaker (Ragan), Brad McDaniel (Heather) and Tori Halter (Nick); and his siblings, Helen Myers, Nancy Gibson (Johnny) and Marvin McDaniel. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens (4830 Columbia Rd NE, Orangeburg, SC 29118).
