He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clell Byrd and Etta Barnett Byrd; his wife Grace Mullen Byrd; his stepchildren, Julia Mullen of Cordesville and Mitch Mullen of Boulder, CO; his children, Mark Byrd (Debra) of Charlestown, IN, Dwayne Byrd (Christine) of Springdale, AR, Kerry Byrd and Louetta Byrd; his siblings, Fannie Byrd, Lina Byrd, Fannie B. Buchanan of Franklin, NC and Jack Byrd (Helen) of Littled; his grandchildren, Heather B. Hogarth (Mike, Dwayne Byrd, Jr.) and Nicholas Byrd; and his great grandchild Madison Hogarth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests flower bulbs of different varieties be donated to the family in order to create a special memorial garden in his memory.
