Harold Broad Jr. Obituary
Harold Theodore "Bubba" Broad, Jr., 61, of Cordesville, SC, a truck driver for Steve's Logging, died Saturday morning in a local hospital.
His funeral will be 3:00 PM Saturday afternoon, September 11, 2021, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the hour of service on Saturday.
Mr. Broad was born November 2, 1959, in Goose Creek, SC, a son to Harold T. Broad, Sr., and Hannah Scott Broad. He was a member of the Wassamassaw Tribe of the Varnertown Indians, a former truck driver for Harwell Trucking, and a former insurance agent. Mr. Broad loved working, spending time with his grandchildren, and going to concerts, but he especially enjoyed swinging in the front porch swing with his wife listening to Country and Gospel music. He also liked Classic Rock. Mr. Broad served seven years in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant specializing as an explosive ordinance disposal technician. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Malia Broad, and a brother, Thomas S. Broad, Sr.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia "Corky" Martin Broad; four daughters, Jeanine (Jason) Welch of Moncks Corner, Holly (Mel) Broad of Sangaree, Angela (Jerry) Connolly of Moncks Corner, and Nicole (Crissy) Stroble of Huger; three sons, Harold T. "Teddy" Broad, III, of Moncks Corner, Alex C. (Fran) Broad of St. Stephen, and Morgan P. (Megan) Broad of Bonneau; five sisters, Birdie Henderson of Goose Creek, Fern Humbert-Nelson of Macedonia, Tammy L. Fitch of Moncks Corner, Shirley A. Harwell of Moncks Corner, and Ann E. Hughes of Loris; three brothers, Bruce M. Broad of St. Stephen, Horace Winkle of Jedburg, and Harry Speissegger of Goose Creek; seventeen grandchildren, D.J., Dalton, Lilly (Jazzy), Logan, Clair, Jasper, Paris, Patrick, Madison, Mason, Myles, Gianna, Ian, Lacey, Camron, Hailey, and Bella; and one great grandson, Brayden.
