He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Hooper and Elizabeth McCloskey Hooper; his wife Gayle T. Hooper; and his parents-in-law, Amon and Evelyn Thomas.
He is survived by: his stepson William Rast (Susannah); his granddaughters, Amelia (Phillip), Caroline (Zaid) and Annah; his great grandchildren, Aymen and Noura; his sister Loy Reagan (Ed); and his sister-in-law Patsy Judy.
