He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon Vernon and Deaconess Velma Long Hickman; his siblings, Shirley Hickman Butler, Lee Hickman, Bobby and Billie Ray Hickman; his daughter Brenda Ward; and his grandson LeQuail Ward.

He is survived by: his children, Freddie Ward and Georgia Ann Ward; his wife Georgia Hickman of Conway, SC.; his daughter LaShonda; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Terrell, Shaquilla, Yandell, Toyis, Samantha, Quayshon, Logan and Kennedi; his daughter Annette Harden; his grandchildren, Chanell and Alex; his siblings, Dea, Mildred Welch, Mary Strothers (Stewart), Carolyn Hickman-Williams and Linda (Dea); and his siblings-in-law, JB Lewis, Gregory Green, Bertha Osborne, Frankie Osgood, Catherine Wimberly, Retha Osgood and Rose Osborne (Dave). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a special niece.
