He was predeceased by: his mother Dovie Graham Hayes; and his siblings, John Thomas Hayes and Pamela Hayes Sarvis. He is survived by: his father Shelton Thomas Hayes; his wife Linda Hayes; his sons, Scott Hayes (Kim) and Matt Sherwood Hayes (Colleen); his grandchildren, Riley Hayes, Ridge Hayes, Michael Hayes (Jesslyn), Madeline Hayes and Martine Hayes; and his sister Martha Jo Garrell.
