It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sam Elmer Clewis of Conway, South Carolina, who passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Arthur; his wife Nancy Clewis; his daughter JoAnne Clewis; and his siblings, Mazelle Ludlam and Johnny Clewis.

He is survived by: his grandson Benji McDowell; and his siblings, Leroy Clewis (Mary), Minnie Bell Hucks, Mary Cooper and Nora Freeman (Willard). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
