He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Brass Griffiths and Charles Winner Griffiths; his stepmother Elizabeth "Betty" Griffiths; his daughter Nicole Griffiths Frame; and his brother Charles Winner Griffiths, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Griffiths; his children, Scott Richard Griffiths (Stacy) and Katie Marie Schmidt (Greg); his stepsons, Jean-Marie Jones and Kevin William Jones (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Melissa (Matt), Kevin Jr., Julianna, Grace, Peter, Hannah and Quinnlan; his great grandchildren, Tyson and Lilliana; and his sister-in-law Mary Gordon Kirsch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
