She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald "Bud" Hext and Florence Hext (Conway); her husband George "Bucky" VanDenburgh; her brothers, Jim Hext and Gregory; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Hext.

She is survived by: her children, Janice (Mike Fahy) of East Herkimer, NY and Kenny (Brad) of Conway, SC; her grandchildren, Mike (Taylor Fahy), Ryan Fahy (Lindsey Parese) and Ashley Fahy (Stephen Scialdo); her great grandchild Caden Fahy; her siblings, Gerald "Manny" (Sharon Hext), Sue Winne, Starr Madaras and Florence (Richard Thompson); and her pet Tye.
