She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard M. Chestnut; her parents, Isaac McNeil Jenerette and Edna Johnson Jenerette; her daughter Kimberly Dawn Chestnut; and her sister Barbara Torres.

She is survived by: her sons, Bernard Keith Chestnut (Kandis) of Conway and Steven Kent Chestnut of Conway; her brother Isaac Jenerette (Sylvia) of Conway; her brother-in-law Thomas Torres of Jacksonville, FL; her nieces, Rebecca Hawk (Judd), Regina Torres and Lisa Jenerette; and her great-nephew Colton Churchwell.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church (2710 SC-905, Conway, SC 29526). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (2710 SC-905, Conway, SC 29526).

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Daycare Center, 2710 Highway 905, Conway, SC 29526.
