He was predeceased by: his parents, Duke Davis Chestnut and Virgie Lee Long Chestnut; and his siblings, Eunice Hardee and David B. Chestnut. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Strickland Chestnut; his sons, Brian M. Chestnut (Candy) and Joseph T. Chestnut (Alissa); his siblings, Rev. Roger Chestnut (Sonya) and Nell Anderson (Kenny); and his grandchildren, Tanner W. Chestnut, Zachary T. Chestnut, Christian T. Chestnut and Grayson N. Chestnut.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery (5201 SC-905, Conway, SC 29526).
