With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane L Rood (Conway, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jane L Rood to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas A. Smart and Mina E. Williams; her husband Donald A. Rood; her daughter Jeannie M. Hardwick; her grandchild Dorian Hooks; and her siblings, Clarence W. Smart, Sammie Smart, Hazel Davis, Polly Harrelson and Julia Ann Bacon.
She is survived by: her sons, Maxie L. Hardwick, Rodney D. Spivey (Laura) and James A. Spivey (Angela); her grandchildren, Courtney Hardwick, Lamar Hardwick, Shannon Hardwick, Millie Spivey, Rivers Spivey, Zeke Spivey, Ella Spivey and Reagan Spivey; her great grandchildren, Reaves Hooks, Ayla Hooks and Josiah Hardwick; and her sister Emmie Cooper.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goldfinch Funeral Home (606 Beaty St, Conway, SC 29526). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel Order Flowers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Mrs. Jane, to the American Cancer Society, or the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation.
