He is survived by: his wife Damaris Cabrera-Simpson; his children, Dasanie Simpson and James Simpson III; his former wife Susan Simpson; his daughters, Miranda Nunez (Matt), Marissa Simpson and Olivia Simpson; his grandchildren, Jett Nunez and Ella Sullivan; his parents, Sherry Chevalier and James Simpson Sr. (Laura); and his siblings, Jennifer St. Jean (Larry), Angela Rudman (Jason), Melissa Chase (Jason), Tara Chevalier and Stephen Simpson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
