She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Paulus and Helen Vissas Paulus; and her siblings, Joseph Paulus Jr. and Ann Marie LeMunyon. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Roemer Jr.; her daughters, Helen Christine Walsh (James) and Keri Lynn Roemer; and her grandchildren, Christopher Walsh, Justin Walsh, Daniel Walsh and Alexis Mahon. She is also survived by other extended family members and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages that memorial donations be made in Helen's honor to Frassati Catholic Church in Carolina Forest (1300 Carolina Forest Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579).
