It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Emery Nover (Conway, South Carolina), born in Laconia, New Hampshire, who passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Bernard Emery; her husbands, Richard Nover and John Ascani; her mother Rose Leonard Emery; her brothers, Leonard and William Emery; and her son Trent Dorr.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Johns and Richard Nover (Nicole); her grandchildren, Skylar Johns, Colby Johns, Kamryn Johns, Tia Dorr and Richard J. Nover III; her siblings, Anne Maillet, Kathleen Emery, Bernard Emery and John Emery; and her pets, Theo, Oliver, Ham and Ivy.

“Helen was a great colleague and an even greater friend. And lunch mate. We worked together at Copper Beech in the. AIS program. I did Math and she did reading. She worked so hard with her students and often worked out of her comfort zone. I haven’t seen her since she moved down to Conway. She is now an angel in heaven,”
