He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Gerry Mulligan (Betsy) of Myrtle Beach, George W. Mulligan, Jr. of Las Vegas, Maryann Hallisey (Jack) of Myrtle Beach and Theresa Pesaresi (Paul) of Hoschton, GA.; his grandchildren, Daniel Mulligan, Christopher Mulligan (Tiffany), Sean Mulligan, David Mulligan, Rachel Pesaresi and Matthew Pesaresi; his great grandchildren, Patrick Mulligan, Rebecca Mulligan and Andrew Mulligan; and his sisters, Lorraine "Sissy" Lowery of New York, NY, Eleanor "Ellie" Mulligan of New York, NY and Kathleen Mulligan of New York, NY. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog.
The family has requested that no flowers be sent and donations be made in George's name to the Horry County Humane Society at 1923 Industrial Park Drive, Conway, SC 29526.
