He was predeceased by: his parents, Beryl Thomas and Martha Prescott Thomas; his wife Maureen Lee Thomas; his son Gary Eugene Thomas; and his grandchildren, Kenneth Hodges and Stephanie Callahan.
He is survived by: his brother Gary; his children, Kevin Thomas (Angela), Jean Dumont (Chuck), Eileen Johnson (Chris) of Loris, Carol Reich (Eddie) of Conway and Terri Majors; and his brother Daryl Thomas (Virginia). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
