Elijah left this world on January 8, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Sanders Sr. and Lillie Pine Sanders; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Carrie Green Sanders; his children, Donnie Elijah Smallwood, Ron Lee Sanders, Wayne Sanders, Jamel Sanders, Antwoine Green, Renee Fantroy, Mary White and Zakiya Green; and his siblings, Roosevelt Sanders and Christine Sanders. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Watson Funeral Services Chapel (2300 US-378, Conway, SC 29527).
