He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Patrick and Veronica Mary Coddington; and his siblings, Mary Voskuhl, John and Joe Coddington.

He is survived by: his wife Esther Coddington; his children, Edward "Nick" Coddington (Debra) of Conklin, NY, David Coddington (Colleen) of Hillcrest, NY, Mary Edsall (Douglas) of Colonial Beach, VA, Joseph Coddington of Conklin, NY, Daniel Coddington (Caren) of Conklin, NY, Carol Gage (John) of Conklin, NY, Helen Holmberg (Richard), Brian Coddington of Conklin, NY, Sean Coddington (Elizabeth) of Conklin, NY and Christopher Coddington (Marley) of Beacon, NY; and his siblings, Eugene Coddington and Carolyn DeFalco. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
