He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Hayes and Cecile Muldoon Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Terry Hayes; his children, Justin Hayes of Tacoma, WA and Erinn Connolly (Peter) of Fort Mill, SC; his stepchildren, Florence Shelley (Ashley) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Edmund Watkins (Giedre) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Nicole Bixler (Wesley) of Philadelphia, PA; his grandchildren, Ashlynn, Kenley Connolly, Hannah, Olivia Shelley, Gabrielle and Edmund IV Watkins; and his sisters, Annette Griffin and Donna Kempt.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in Douglas' honor.
