She was predeceased by: her mother Hattie Jordan; her daughter Charlotte Ann Dawsey; her siblings, Evelyn Churchhill, Cranston Hucks, Jennings Hucks, Mack Worth Hucks, Bobby Joe Hucks, Paul Hucks, Martha Payne and Sevelda Atkinson; and her pets, Punkin and Gypsy.
She is survived by: her father James Arthur Hucks Sr.; her sons, Edward Dawsey (Wayne Barrier) and Leslie Clemmons; her siblings, Rev. James A. Hucks Jr. (Brenda), Shirley Miller (James), Rachel Allen (Johnny) and Mary Cranston; her daughter-in-law Barbara Clemmons; and her great grandchild Carlisle Dawsey. She is also survived by father, who was still the love of her life and many other family and friends.
