He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Marion and Anna Marian Grainger (Long); his brother Thomas Russell "Rusty" Grainger; his wife Phyllis Ann Grainger of Loris, SC; his daughter Sharon Denise Grainger of Columbia, SC; his sister Anna Marie "Susie" Grainger-Thompkins of Conway, SC; his nephews, Charles "Charlie" Monroe Grainger of Conway, SC and Andrew "Andy" Marion Proctor of Stockholm, Sweden; and his stepchildren, Sheila Spivey of LaGrange, GA, Charles E. Spivey Jr. of Loris, SC and Mark Compton (Rhonda) of Conway, SC.. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren.
