He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Fowler and Vernia Sluder Fowler; the mother of his children Joyce Collis Fowler; his wife Mary Kirksey Fowler; and his son Alan Dale Fowler.
He is survived by: his children, Loretta Lester of Florida, Shirley Dennis (Nathan) of Conway, Teresa Searsey of Socastee, Chucky Fowler of Florida and Marvin Fowler of Illinois. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
