He was predeceased by: his parents, William Martin and Georgia Borders Martin; and his siblings, Durell Martin, Eugene Martin, Elizabeth Smith and Catherine Tallent.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Bowen Hemmingsen Martin; his son Shawn Martin (Leondra); his stepchildren, Sheila Yates (James), Kimberly Jessup and David Hemmingsen (Rilla); and his brother-in-law Ron Queen (Sandra). He is also survived by two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
