He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Eugene Barrett and Madlyn Barrett (Albright); and his brothers, Greg Eugene Barrett and Jeff Lee Barrett (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Karen Barrett (Martin); his children, Martin Boyd (Ashlee), Meredith Bess Young (Chris) and Cassandra Anderson (Jimmy); his grandchildren, David, Mia, Madeline, Reid, Zoe, Jameson, Josie and Audrey; and his sisters, Lynn Harrelson (Tim) and Rona Norris (Rusty). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (5489 Cates Bay Hwy, Conway, SC 29527). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
