He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman G. Fischer and Adell Meyenberg Fischer; his wife Frances Caroline Fischer; and his siblings, Robert Fischer, Evelyn Peek and Edith Fischer.

He is survived by: his sons, Charles H. Fischer (Lindy) and James Michael Fischer; his siblings, Norman Fischer (Margaret) and Marilyn Horner (Frank); and his grandchildren, Samuel Fischer, Heather Spears (Andrew), Nathaniel Fischer, Amanda Fischer and Courtney Fischer.
