He is survived by: his wife Nellie L. Payne; and his children, Ashworth C. Payne, Jr. of Ashville, NC, Cabell C. Payne of Cincinnati, OH and Annette Marie Davis (William) of Washington, IN. He is also survived by 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, one great granddaughter; 2 brothers.
