She was predeceased by: her husband José Damaso Velez Panasco; her parents, José Joaquim and Maria Da Conceição Dias; and her siblings, Antonio, João Dias, Laura Do Nascimento and Germana Da Conceição Dias.
She is survived by: her children, José Velez (Griselda) of Bridgeport, John Velez of Hamden, Fernando Velez (Tara) of Bridgeport and Rosa Pereira (Tony) of South Carolina; her siblings, José Dias (Ana) of Portugal, Lucilia Dias of Portugal and Maria Fernandes (José) of Bridgeport; and her sisters-in-law, Elisa Dias of Portugal and Joaquina Rosa Dias of Virginia. She is also survived by grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
