He is survived by: his parent Ella J. Garrett; his spouse Virginia Garrett; his children, Joel Cabe, Jennifer Fowler (Bruce), Cindy Rowe and Dannette Messick (Jimmy); his sister Jo Moore; his grandchildren, Amber Rowe, Brent Rowe (Jordan), Blake Messick, David Messick, Nathan Fowler and Brooke Fowler; his great grandchildren, Kinley Cabe, Hannah Cabe and Garrett Cabe; his sister-in-law Linda Benton; and also, Ashley Benton and Dachshund.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Pendleton Place, 1133 Pendleton Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
