It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Winfred Dunnavant Dew of Columbia, South Carolina, born in Petersburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Dew; and her sons, Christopher E. and Scott D. Dew. She is survived by: her daughter Laura D. Smith (Chip); her grandchildren, Sarah E. Smith, Mills Smith (Hannah) and Parrish E. Smith (Kelsey); her great grandchildren, Amelia, Georgia and Ellis Smith; her daughter Beth D. McMullan (Cam); her grandchildren, Emily McMullan and Becca M. Eure (Josh); and her great grandchildren, Chandler D. Allen (Will) and Ellison Dew (Kyle Duffy). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shives Funeral Home (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 3200 Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC, 29204, or to a charity of choice.
