He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Frank Turbyfill, Sr. and Lona Wiggins Turbyfill; and his sister Kaye Turbyfill Allison. He is survived by: his wife Sue Loner Turbyfill; his children, Walter Frank "Trip" Turbyfill (Marila), Todd Turbyfill, Andy Turbyfill (Lisa) and Jenny Turbyfill Burkholder (Scott); his stepson Robert Hartman (Kay); his grandchildren, Allison Moss, Kyle, Christian Turbyfill, Lauren, Anna Turbyfill, Eric, Kaylee Burkholder, Olivia Hartman and Erin Hartman Bowling; and his nephews, Tracey and Jason Allison.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home (3926 Devine St, Columbia, SC 29205). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Dr. Turbyfill to Cedar Creek Baptist Church at 1920 Cedar Creek Road in Blythewood, SC 29016.
