With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger James Loughney Sr. of Columbia, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 26, 2025 at the age of 84. As Roger James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Roger James. Though Roger James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his wife Fortunata; and his sister Maureen. He is survived by: his children, Roger James Loughney Jr. and Jessica Escorcia; his sisters, Patricia Loughney and Joanne Nemow (Irv); and his granddaughter Cassandra.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedicts RC Church (165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733). A burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Gabriel's Cemetery.
