It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Marshall Blackmon of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Peggy Marshall shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Peggy Marshall farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Reece Marshall and Clara Rutledge Marshall; and her husband Murray "Mutt" Blackmon. She is survived by: her children, James Blackmon (Beth) of San Diego, CA, Sheila B. Lilly (Ed) of Columbia, S. C. and Duane Blackmon (Richard) of Columbia, S. C.; and her sisters, Betty M. Cauthen (Larry) of Lancaster, S. C. and Mollie Moree of Rock Hill, S. C.. She is also survived by five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
