She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Zimmerman "Buddy" Mitchell and Emily Sue Langley Mitchell of Greer, SC.; and her son George H. J. Kerekes. She is survived by: her husband Karoly "Charles" Kerekes; her son Mike Kerekes (Robin); her granddaughters, Morgan of Columbia and Trysta of Columbia; her brother Thomas Z. Mitchell, Jr. (Linda) of Davidson, NC; and her nieces and nephews, Thomas Z. Mitchell, III and Jennifer Mitchell Robinson.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
