She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Klutz Christy and Edna Juanita James Christy; and her siblings, C. K. Christy, Ronald James Christy and Lou Frances "Sue" Bush.

She is survived by: her husband Donald Coker Day, Sr.; her children, Stephanie Studnicka (Bryan Johnson) of Columbia and Donald Coker Day, Jr. (Caroline) of Aiken; her granddaughters, Isabelle Studnicka, Camille Day, Carleigh Day, Mallory Johnson and Celeste Johnson; and her brother-in-law John Bush.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenville Memorial Gardens (7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673).
