She was predeceased by: her father Dr. Charles D. Barnett of Columbia, S. C.. She is survived by: her mother Dr. Emmala Evins Barnett; her husband Walter M. Riggs of Columbia, S. C.; her children, Cara Nicole, Emmala Hyman and Harry Hyman; her stepson Kevin W. Riggs; her stepfather Will Hunt; and her sisters, Patricia Barnett McLendon of Randolph, VT and Dr. Laura Barnett-Queen of Columbia, S. C..
