It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Black (Columbia, South Carolina), born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Lore and Elizabeth Post Lore; her siblings, Audeene Atkins, Robert Lore and Roy Lore; and her stepgrandson Quintin Kubicki.
She is survived by: her daughters, Virginia Graybill (Clay), Bonnie Rogers (Stephen), Sherrie McElveen and Faith Marsten (Joe); her stepchildren, Donna Ross, James V. Black, Jr. (November), Bryan Black, Karen Kubicki and Diana Black (Joe); her grandchildren, Rhonda Yelton (Mark), Heather Bailey, Christopher McVicker, Aaron McElveen, Ryan Morris, Kayla Stewart (Andrew), Makiah Otalora (Aaron) and Aleesia Marsten; and her stepgrandchildren, Thomas Ross (C. J.), Shannon Ross, Amanda Bassett (Jessie), Katrina Black, Nichole McFadden, Bryan Black, Jr., Krystal Black, Annabelle Kubicki and Savannah Black. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (2740 Broughton St, Orangeburg, SC 29115). A burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
