She is survived by: her parents, Leonard Phillips Stanley and Frieda Beatrice Spearman Stanley; her children, Samuel Stanley, Cynthia Stanley Benson Clarke of Columbia, SC, Frieda Spearman Benson Grimball and Sara Elizabeth Benson DeBat (Don) of Chicago; her grandchildren, Marian Stanley Grimball, Major William Heyward, William Byrd Stanley Henriksen (Kaitlyn), Mark Herbert Phillips Henriksen, Donald Edward Benson (Natalie) and Herbert Lankford Benson IV; her great grandchildren, Paul Heyward Grimball, Lucy Doss Grimball and Margot Steele Grimball; her stepdaughter Kittrell Anne Tucker; her stepgranddaughter Chelsea Tucker Helsley; and also Charles Duke Stanley.
