She was predeceased by: her siblings, Syphrona "Sophie" O. Ward, Albert E. Abell, Isla A. Mease and Mildred E. True; and her pet Harry.

She is survived by: her siblings, William H. Abell (Bert), Willie Mae Johnson and Melvin E. Abell (Karen). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Temples-Halloran Funeral Home (5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Bush River Memorial Gardens (5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212).
