He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Buggel of Charleston, SC. and Agnes C. Buggel of Charleston, SC.; and his sister Ann Buggel Herndon (Francis). He is survived by: his nephew Frank Herndon of Savannah, GA; his niece Scottie Herndon Trapp (Danny) of Charlotte, NC; his great-nieces, Simmons Trapp Purdy (Russ) of Columbia, SC, Catherine Scott Trapp of Washington, DC and Elizabeth Joann Herndon of Savannah, GA.; and his great-nephew Davis Chandler Herndon of Atlanta, GA.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 4:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Second Presbyterian Church (342 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29403-6438).
