He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Apostolos Papadea and Marina Capilos Papadea; his brother Nick Papadea; and his sister-in-law Mary of Columbia. He is survived by: his son Jim Papadea (Maggie); his grandchildren, Ash and Mada; his great grandchild Kate Papadea of Columbia, SC.; his sister Christine Papadea of Murrell's Inlet, SC.; his nephew Nicholas Papadea (Meredith); his great-niece Ella Marina; and his great-nephew Nicholas.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (1931 W Sumter St, Florence, SC 29501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookgreen Gardens, 1931 Brookgreen Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
