He was predeceased by : his father David Lomax Hart; and his sister-in-law Debbie Pace McCaskill. He is survived by : his mother Patricia Hart; his daughter Caroline Hay Hart; his wife Luanne Pace; his sister Julia Schlegel (Simon); his niece Lauren Ivey (Chris); his uncle Carroll Hart; his aunt Betty Hart; and his family Dr. Gregory Fulcher.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Church of God (1835 Camden Hwy, Sumter, SC 29153). A memorial service was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hart for Hope, c/o 127 Parish Walk, Elgin, SC 29045; a charity being established by Jeff's family in his honor that serves ALS patients and their families.
